Saucepan Oatmeal Brownies

Another one from my Home EC days in high school and Uncle Tim’s favorite Brownie that I make. This recipe is nice because you mix it all up in one skillet.

2/3 C margarine or butter
3/4 C Uncooked Oats
1 1/3 C Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
1/2 C Sifted Flour
1/2 C Cocoa Baking Powder
3/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt

Melt margarine/butter in large skillet. Add sugar/ Beat eggs on at a time, blending well, Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add to margarine/butter mixture. Stir in Oats and vanilla. Bake in a greased 9 inch square pan at 350 for 25 to 30 min. Cool and then cut while still warm.
